Springtime Fun!

I see trees of green, red roses too,
I see them bloom for me and you,
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue and clouds of white,
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night,
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky,
Are also on the faces of people going by,
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They're really saying I love you.

I hear babies cry, I watch them grow,
They'll learn much more than I'll never know,
And I think to myself what a wonderful world,
Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world.

"What a Wonderful World" By Louis Armstrong

They Are Here!

Hey everyone! We are introducing another completely new style here at CoCo's. The scarf pictured below is one style of several that we are working on. These scarves begin the launch of our women's and accessories line. I have to say I am SOOO excited!

Designing women's fashion is a HUGE passion of Rachel's and mine and we are so excited to finally see the dream a reality. The pictures below are of our second photo shoot. By the way, the AMAZING photos are taken by my beautiful sister Rachel. She has a fabulous gift for photography. So, back to the scarf! This style is called "Pleats and Q's" and is made from a stretch knit fabric. The print on the fabric is truly very stunning. Labeled as a "tattoo" print, it has roses and vines with small swords and butterflies all over. It may not be for some but those of us who love a little funk and diversity in our lives appreciate it. The scarf is shown here with grey stitching and we will be offering it with stitches in black, red, hot pink, and bright green as well.

Since beginning actual product production several weeks ago, we have been very busy building our stock and preparing for our new styles to come. As promised, the pinafore style for little girls is coming very soon and we'll be debuting that style to sell in the store in a matter of a day or so. These are going to be so beautiful!

Take a peek at these photos and be sure to browse our store often for all of the new styles.

Happy Easter!

From our family to yours; we hope you had a wonderful Easter!  As promised, here is the picture of the girls in their new dresses.  They are wearing the peasant dress with a pinafore dress over it.  Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the back of the dress, but the ruffle goes around the dress and up the back.  There is a tie on the back that makes a really cute bow at the top of the ruffle.  You will see more of this later in the week when we officially release the dress.  If anyone has any size or color preferences, you can contact us and let us know what you have in mind.  We would love to make one especially for your little girl.

We would like to give a special thanks to The Frugal Free Gal for featuring us on her blog.  We are so thankful and appreciative.  Go check out her blog, she has a lot of great saving and lifestyle tips.

There's still a lot to do but we are having a blast!  I'm learning to be a night owl as we have been keeping quite a few late hours to get everything done.  I would just like to thank everyone for their support in our new business.  Crystal and I really appreciate it!

Making Our Dream a Reality

For a couple of years now, Crystal and I have kicked around the idea of starting some sort of creative business.  We both enjoy sewing and crafting very much, and while we do have busy lives, there is always time here or there that we have been able to squeeze in some creative time.  We have never gotten very serious about the idea of actually selling our creations until recently.  It just seems that things are falling into place and after much prayer, it feels that now is the time for us to begin this journey.

I've always worked well with my sister and we have always been close.  We worked together at McDonald's for several years, and enjoyed it very much.  In creating CoCo Couture, we have been able to spend a lot of quality time together, and it has been fun to sort of have that "girl time" in the midst of our busy lives.  It has been so much fun so far, and if we are successful, it would mean a great deal to both of us.  My husband and I currently own a home that we would like very much to pay off, and Crystal has a goal of being able to purchase her own home in the future.

Why little girl's dresses?  First of all, I have two little girls with another on the way, so naturally I spend a lot of time sewing for them.  Secondly, who doesn't love to dress up little their little princesses?  I have had so much joy in creating unique outfits for my little girls.  Crystal and I vividly remember all of the fancy little dresses that our mom sewed for us when we were younger.  We took great pride in those little dresses, and we appreciated the uniqueness of each dress.  We would like to pass that feeling on to other little girls.

Coco Couture has great dreams for the future.  In the near future we will be adding small accessories to our line of dresses.  We would like to branch out into women's fashion as well, including things like scarves and purses or totes.  Eventually, we may offer women's clothing as well.  We are very excited about the future of our little endeavor and we are thankful for all the support we have received so far.  Most of all, we thank God for his goodness and love in our lives, and we hope to glorify him in all that we do.
