For a couple of years now, Crystal and I have kicked around the idea of starting some sort of creative business. We both enjoy sewing and crafting very much, and while we do have busy lives, there is always time here or there that we have been able to squeeze in some creative time. We have never gotten very serious about the idea of actually selling our creations until recently. It just seems that things are falling into place and after much prayer, it feels that now is the time for us to begin this journey.
I've always worked well with my sister and we have always been close. We worked together at McDonald's for several years, and enjoyed it very much. In creating CoCo Couture, we have been able to spend a lot of quality time together, and it has been fun to sort of have that "girl time" in the midst of our busy lives. It has been so much fun so far, and if we are successful, it would mean a great deal to both of us. My husband and I currently own a home that we would like very much to pay off, and Crystal has a goal of being able to purchase her own home in the future.
Why little girl's dresses? First of all, I have two little girls with another on the way, so naturally I spend a lot of time sewing for them. Secondly, who doesn't love to dress up little their little princesses? I have had so much joy in creating unique outfits for my little girls. Crystal and I vividly remember all of the fancy little dresses that our mom sewed for us when we were younger. We took great pride in those little dresses, and we appreciated the uniqueness of each dress. We would like to pass that feeling on to other little girls.
Coco Couture has great dreams for the future. In the near future we will be adding small accessories to our line of dresses. We would like to branch out into women's fashion as well, including things like scarves and purses or totes. Eventually, we may offer women's clothing as well. We are very excited about the future of our little endeavor and we are thankful for all the support we have received so far. Most of all, we thank God for his goodness and love in our lives, and we hope to glorify him in all that we do.
